- Jeffrey P. Stone
President and CEO
- Jeffrey Stone is President and Chief Executive Officer of Tiburon, responsible for defining and leading corporate strategies for growth. With more than 15 years of financial and operations experience — from successful start-ups to large enterprise corporations — Jeffrey’s insight and expertise strengthen Tiburon’s position as a leader in public safety software solutions.
Prior to joining Tiburon in 2008, Jeffrey was a senior operating member at The Gores Group, LLC, a private equity firm, where he evaluated potential acquisitions and worked closely with portfolio company executive management to implement long-range business plans and operational and financial strategies. Jeffrey came to Gores from Morgan Stanley, where he advised clients on strategic alternatives in an effort to support the execution of various corporate transactions.
Jeffrey built his operational expertise over a series of progressive roles. Notably, he was an initial member in two successful start-ups sponsored by IDEALAB! Venture Capital. He led business development and spearheaded market expansion for both Citysearch and FutureStep, Inc. Jeffrey later joined General Electric, where he served in an executive-level capacity on a number of Lean/Six-Sigma process improvement initiatives across G.E.’s portfolio of businesses.
Jeffrey earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and has an undergraduate degree in business from the University of New Hampshire.

- Ian Archbell
Vice President, Marketing
and Product Management
- Ian Archbell brings a depth and breadth of experience in product development, product management, and product and corporate marketing to his role at Tiburon. With more than 30 years of experience in the enterprise software and personal computing industries, Ian has established executive leadership experience and a proven track record in both marketing and product development.
Prior to joining Tiburon in 2008, Ian spent 14 years with Micro Focus, where he held various executive management roles, culminating with the position of Vice President of the Micro Focus Product Management organization. In this position he developed and executed a product strategy that enabled Micro Focus to double revenues over five years and supported a corporate strategy that resulted in an IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 2004.
Prior to Micro Focus, Ian spent more than 14 years with IBM, where he held leadership positions in product development, product management, and product marketing. Ian was an early pioneer in the development of personal computing, and in 1981 he was selected as one of a core team of eleven to launch the IBM PC in the United Kingdom. He then held various roles in the IBM PC organization with responsibility for both sales and marketing, resulting in the tripling of software revenues during his tenure.
Ian earned a master’s degree in business administration from Cranfield University.

Mila Garcia
Vice President, Contracts
- Mila Garcia came to Tiburon in 2008 with 16 years of experience in purchasing and contracts management in both the public and private sectors. As Vice President of Contracts, Mila manages Tiburon’s client contracts, internal services agreements, and sales proposal team.
Prior to joining Tiburon, Mila was Division Manager, Contracts for the County of Los Angeles, Internal Services Department, where she managed more than 400 individual and master service agreements in the areas of IT, telecommunications, equipment maintenance, energy consulting, fleet and parking services, facilities management, landscape, janitorial, and construction for the County, valued at over $1 billion. In this role, Mila was responsible for all the requests for proposals issued by the Internal Services Department and the resulting contracts.
Before the County of Los Angeles, Mila held the position of Purchasing Manager for Korn/Ferry International Futurestep, an Internet start-up, where she was responsible for establishing, staffing, and managing the Purchasing and Contracts Department. This included establishing company-wide purchasing policies and procedures, boilerplate agreements, blanket purchase orders, and vendor agreements. Prior to Korn/Ferry Futurestep, Mila was with the Sony Pictures Entertainment Purchasing Department, where she handled IT purchasing and contracts, including software license agreements, hardware purchases, IT consulting, and system installation and implementation.
Mila is a Certified Purchasing Manager through the Institute for Supply Management.

- Manoj Goyal
Vice President, Engineering
- Manoj Goyal joined Tiburon with more than 18 years of engineering and leadership experience at large technology companies, successfully translating corporate strategies into engineering game plans and managing global development teams.
Before joining Tiburon in 2008, Manoj was General Manager at Adaptec, managing the company’s $160 million RAID storage controller business and providing direction to product development, product management, and marketing functions. Previously, Manoj was responsible for global product development across the U.S., Europe, and India.
Prior to Adaptec, Manoj held the position of Vice President of Platform Engineering at Documentum, where he was responsible for generating more than $250 million in annual revenues. While managing more than 225 engineers in development centers spanning the U.S., Europe, and India, Manoj was instrumental in shaping Documentum into a leading provider of enterprise-wide content management and archiving solutions by successfully developing product-differentiating features and integrating products from a series of strategic acquisitions. Manoj also held several management and technical leadership positions at Sun Microsystems.
Manoj earned a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Southern California and dual bachelor’s degrees in computer science and management science from the University of California, San Diego.

- Jochen Schuele
Vice President, Operations
- Jochen Schuele came to Tiburon with nearly 20 years of experience in operations
and program management. As Vice President of Operations, Jochen manages the implementation and technical operations teams.
Prior to joining Tiburon in 2008, Jochen was Director of Strategic Process Development at Kaman Corporation’s industrial distribution segment, where he worked on behalf of the executive committee developing company-wide initiatives to improve enterprise performance.
Before Kaman, Jochen was with Gerber Scientific for more than 17 years, where he held positions in supply chain management, customer service, logistics, finance, contracts management, and technology deployment. He was part of the senior management team that led a company-wide transformation, which included re-engineering worldwide operations into a single services organization, consolidating manufacturing and distribution sites, outsourcing global freight and logistics, implementing SAP enterprise software, growing the service and support business, and establishing manufacturing operations in China. Jochen also held the position of Executive Director, U.S. Materials for Gerber Scientific, responsible for forecasting, demand planning, and purchasing for a $150 million supply chain organization. As Executive Director of Freight and Logistics, Jochen managed a $30 million budget and order fulfillment of $100 million in aftermarket sales. As Director of Customer Service, Jochen was in charge of supporting $45 million in global services revenue and deploying technology-based solutions, managing customer support centers, technical support, and field service engineers with emphasis on large-scale project deployments of Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing equipment and software solutions.
Jochen earned a master’s degree in business administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international
relations from Boston University.

- Larry Sells
Vice President, Sales (Acting)
- Larry Sells, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for CompuDyne Corporation, has been a sales leader for organizations in the technology industry for more than two decades. Larry joined CompuDyne in 2008 with vast experience in networks, applications, communications, and systems implementation for federal, state, and local governments, as well as in international and commercial markets.
Prior to joining CompuDyne, Larry was Vice President of Sales for Radware Corporation, which focused on the application delivery market for federal, state, and local government agencies. Larry also served as Vice President of Aspect Communications, where he had responsibility for sales and professional services for the federal government and directed the company in winning several key mission-critical FAA projects worth more than $35 million.
Before joining Aspect Communications, Larry held the position of Vice President for Oracle, responsible for managing the communications industry and applications that generated $80 million in sales revenue. Earlier, Larry was Vice President for Lucent Technologies, where he was responsible for the worldwide Department of Defense business for the federal government, with sales revenue of $400 million. He managed and provided oversight for several large federal contracts, including a $1 billion ViViD U.S. Navy contract. Prior to Lucent, Larry was with Digital Equipment Corporation as the Director of the Advanced Imagery Group, focusing on federal intelligence agencies and responsible for $200 million in annual revenues.
Larry earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University.

- Maria Szymanek
Vice President, Finance
- Maria Szymanek joined Tiburon in 2008, bringing with her more than 16 years of financial management experience. As Vice President of Finance, Maria is responsible for developing and executing Tiburon’s financial strategy, managing all finance operations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data and reporting.
Prior to joining Tiburon, Maria was Senior Director of Finance at Monster Worldwide (monster.com), where she provided financial leadership to San Francisco-based websites and an advertising network, improving margins on high growth Internet businesses. Before that, Maria was Chief Financial Officer for AVCOR Consulting, a start-up management consulting firm. There, she was responsible for financial leadership, project management, and business development, which resulted in doubled sales, improved margins, diversification of clients, and shorter cash collection cycles.
Previously, Maria worked for Credit Suisse First Boston, where she managed global strategic projects including the Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette acquisition. Additionally, Maria has worked in management consulting with both Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers improving client finance organizations. Maria received a CPA while at Motorola’s Government and Systems Technology Group.
Maria earned a master’s degree in business administration from Columbia Business School at Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Arizona State University.

- Kim Tran
Director, Human Resources
- Kim Tran came to Tiburon with more than 11 years of experience in human resources in the technology, semiconductor, and banking industries. With Tiburon since 2008, Kim specializes in core human resources disciplines, including organizational development, change management, employee relations, global practices, systems integration, program development, and streamlining of processes and practices.
Prior to joining Tiburon, Kim worked as a Human Resources Business Partner
at KLA-Tencor, a semiconductor manufacturer. Before that, Kim spent seven years at Cisco Systems as a Human Resources Manager, where she was responsible for global benefits designs, employee relations, recruitment, talent acquisition, and business partnering with various organizations.
Previously, Kim successfully developed and grew world-class human resources departments for two start-up companies.
Kim has a bachelor’s of science degree in administration of justice/law from San Jose State University and earned Professional Human Resources Certification through San Jose State University Professional Studies.
